The Review of Merchant Card Payment Costs and Surcharging is well underway
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) commenced its Review into Retail Payments Regulation on October 15 2025. IPF made submissions to both the issues paper and consultation. See IPF’s submissions here.
The RBA will make a decision in March 2026.
